Assuming you have some level of existing JavaScript knowledge, I would start with the reactjs cli tool. Use that to bootstrap a project and start hacking. Generally, the most important thing when learning a technology is to develop an intuition for the technology's best case behavior and knowledge of how to avoid the worst parts of the technology. The best way to do that is to build an actual app. My recommendation is the Todo app, and then move onto something more substantial. After you're familiar with the base technology, I would start developing a set of tools around it that you feel comfortable with to round out the skill set. For example, you might try react router, redux, and a frontend framework like bootstrap. Once you have a well rounded set of tools and good intuition about them, you'll be ready to tackle meatier problems using the tool. read less
