My Background Experience as an Engineer and Peer Educator:

Coming from a disciplined defense background and currently pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (AI & ML specialization) at Manipal University Jaipur, I’ve always believed in leadership through service. From my school days, where I consistently excelled academically (94.4% in 12th boards) and athletically (as a national-level basketball player), I learned the value of focus, discipline, and teamwork. These qualities carried into my college life from the very beginning.

In my first semester, I quickly noticed that many students found the transition into core technical subjects like Python programming, Engineering Physics, and Maths quite challenging. As someone who grasped these concepts quickly and had a strong base, I felt a responsibility to help. As the Class Representative, I took the initiative to organize peer-learning sessions in the evenings before exams and internals. I would break down complex concepts using real-world examples and often used whiteboards or simulations (like Tinkercad for Arduino) to make learning interactive.

I remember one session in particular before our Python internals, where I helped a group of 20+ students understand loops, conditionals, and basic algorithms. Many students later shared that it boosted their confidence and improved their grades. I also created structured notes and doubt-clearing sessions, turning my dorm room into a mini classroom.

This experience shaped my journey—not just as a student, but as a future engineer who believes in collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and leadership. It also reinforced my strengths in public speaking, mentoring, problem-solving, and explaining technical ideas in simple language. These are skills I carry forward into every group project, hackathon, and leadership role I take on today.

For me, being an engineer isn’t just about solving problems with code or circuits—it’s about creating an impact, uplifting others, and growing together. That journey started in my first semester, and it’s something I’m proud to continue every step of the way.
