IT is a huge area which has lot of sectors and sub sectors . Based on them, you need to take training on. In genral, there are major three sectors: Development, Testing (QA) and Database. For example: if you want to go for Testing , you have to take training on Testing (QA) . Testing again can be automation and manual . Automaton testing needs prior knowledge of some programming knowledge with which the automation scripts will be written. My suggestion to the starter will be go for automation testing and go for course on automation testing tool like Selenium or Coded UI. read less
