Its always never to late to learn anything , but keep in mind that wherever you will be working ,you may find that your senior is younger and he is instructing you. The best way forward will be to start with Cisco CCNA course and then move on to Cisco CCNP. Once you have completed both of them, you can get a job and start gaining experience. Though having done engineering would help, it is not mandatory. There are numerous people who did BA or BCom, and after entering into this field, went on to become experienced and a good job. Once you have got some experience in a job after CCNP, you should go for the Cisco CCIE which will then open lot of better opportunities. But please make sure to enroll with a institute which has a good lab infrastructure as it is critical in understanding the core concepts of networking. Theory classes alone would not help much. You can contact me if you need more information on this. read less
