I think the answer really depends on two things- whether someone has a solid understanding of object-oriented design patterns and a familiarity with UIKit, Foundation, and other common frameworks. A mid-level iOS developer should be very familiar with many of the methods and properties in Foundation and UIKit so that they "know what is possible." I see many times that an entry-level developer will write ten to twenty lines of code to achieve something that Apple has already written code for and can be done in one. Furthermore, if you have been coding (not only in iOS!) for a while, your code is clean and very modular, adhering to best practices. Mid-level developers have a better intuition to make classes incredibly general and standalone, and customize subclasses efficiently resulting in reusable code. read less
