Changing the App Name on the iPhone 1 Open your application in Xcode. This will break down the application into editable elements, making it easy for you to change the name of the application. 2 Click the arrow adjacent to the "Resources" folder to show the "Info.plist" file. This file, called the Information Property List, is vital to your application and is where the name of your app is stored. 3 Click the "Info.plist" file on the sidebar; it will show the file in the upper-right panel. Click the "Info.plist" again to show the properties in the bottom-right panel. 4 Go to the value next to "Bundle Display Name" and change the value to whatever you want the display name for your app to be. Keep in mind that long file names may be truncated on the iPhone screen, so keep it accurate and relevant, but brief. 5 Save and rebuild the application. Resubmit the files to iTunes to get the new file name into the system. When existing users update the downloaded app, they will get the new name on their iPhone. read less
