As someone who actively take interviews for Expedia. This what I look when I interview a candidate for a technical role and most other companies must be looking for similar things. Good problem solving skills coming to final solution is not necessary, but your thought process is what is observed very carefully. How you approach a problem. Good communication skills , ability to convey what's in your mind. These are the most important skills. After that comes your technical skills which can give you an edge over other candidates. But if you don't have the skills mentioned earlier then there's high probability if not getting selected. And you know what we are given special training to test a candidate on above skills. And the best thing is you can develop these skills by practice and giving mock interview. Let me know if you need any further help. read less

Make sure this "selling yourself' speech that you come up with is aligned with the job description of the position you're interviewing for. read less
