Ask a Question
Let us assume that Ram has x no. of stamps and Ankush has y no. of stamps. Also, x = (4/5)y since Ram has 4/5 stamps as Ankush. Now, we know that
x + y = 4500 ( since total number of stamps are 4500)
And
x = (4/5)y
Seeing both the equations
(4/5)y + y = 4500
9y = 4500×5
y = (4500 × 5)/9
y = 2500 stamps.
So Ankush has 2500 stamps.
