I am a final year undergraduate student pursuing my Bachelors in History from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi. I have previously worked with VIDYA, a teaching NGO based out of Gurgaon, where I taught Social Studies to NIOS students of classes 10 and 12.
Having worked with an organisation such as Vidya, has helped me gain considerable experience in the field of teaching. With constant support from my students and other teachers working at the Ngo, I learnt a lot and grew as an individual. I feel that subjects such as history and political science seem very content heavy to most students and they do not enjoy studying them. I believe that social sciences as a field of study offers a lot of scope and interesting information if taught correctly.
My ideology is to make learning fun for my students wherein textbooks do not seem like a burden. I am very patient as an individual and understand that all students have their own pace of learning. Hence, as a teacher, instead of forcing my students to follow a certain path, I like to let them be and stand with them as a guide.
