In case you are talking to specify the ragas for a start.. bhupali, bageshri n bhairav are the best ones to start with.. to have control on the surs practising all the ten thats will also help as it covers all the komal and shudha swaras. Further, when its indian classical songs, please understand that catering songs which have a touch of both sufi and classical to it will groom your voice more . Would request you to look into songs like manmohini morey (from movie Yuvraj) . Also, songs like madhuban me radhika, nache mann mora magan, mann tarpat hari darshan ko aaj etc.would come under the classical category. read less
