I am Ratna Chakraborty. I am a music teacher giving home and online music tuition since 10 years .I teach Bhajans, Ghazals and Bollywood . I have performed all over India (Ghazals and Bollywood).
My goal is to teach Classical music.
I am certified in Hindustani classical music. I have a Masters degree in Hindustani .
I have completed Hindustani classical from Lucknow University. My guru was Dr, Deepa Bhattacharya and Dr. Vasant Saikia (HOD of Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth)
I worked in CBSE and IPSC Schools.
I have a good Communication skills, Teaching Patience, Singing talent ,Team leading skills, Instrument Proficiency, Discipline, Collaboration skills, Music instrument playing and am a good & sharp listener too.
I’ve taught students of age group 5 to 68, and i have found that for students of all ages, the discovery of how music can communicate and connect with them is richly rewarding.
For me, teaching and learning are both about exploration, inquiry and experimentation. And I approach each session fully committed to spark a student’s imagination and musical understanding through these principles. The joy for me in teaching is seeing student's ideas develop and to be there to guide them at each step of their musical journey.
Music is meant to be shared. So each year with my students,it
culminates with a celebratory studio recital. Not only does this create a concrete goal and a sense of accomplishment for students, but it further cultivates the shared supportive studio environment they contribute to and enjoy.
I ask lots of questions to help students make their own musical decisions and take ownership of their interpretations.
I help students to become problem solvers and independent learners, as they discover their own artistic voices.
Finally as a teacher, my aim is to help students unlock the meaning and message of any piece of music and become experts in knowledge of music and singing and gain global recognition.
