y= 7x
:
my grandson is as many months as I am in years.
z = 12x
:
x+ y+ z= 120
Substitute for yand z
x + 7x + 12x = 120
20x= 120
x = 120/20
x = 6 yrs is grandson's age
then
y= 7(6) = 42 yrs is daughter's age
and
z = 12(6) = 72 yrs is my age
