I am a teacher for English and Science. ( Handled till 10th class).I work in a school which promotes knowledge based learning and gives less importance to score based learning.
I believe that once if knowledge and interest towards a subject is imparted to the student then he/ she always strive hard to put their best efforts to make things bright and wonderful.
They stand a successful rolemodels to their juniors who then will start believing that knowledge comes in place when we are confident in retaining the education but not just gaining marks in score cards.
