Not only Kannada but for any language to learn, it depends on our interest and time we spend on that. If we can put in 10 hours a day to learn a language, then essential fluency in the natural languages should take 48 days, and for difficult ones, 72 days. Accounting for days off, this equates to two months or three months. If you only put in five hours a day, it will take twice as long.
