I started teaching friends and siblings in my early school and later I taught students (9th, 10th, 11th and 12th) in coaching center. I teach almost anything and upto any level in mathematics and computer science. Teaching helped to to understand the topics well. Later I did B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering and now I'm a software professional in Hyderabad.

A correction in my previous. Previous response is good if only one number is selected. For selecting 3 numbers, probability will be 16C3/100C3 = 16*15*14/100*99*98

Sample space of an experiment is the set of all possible outcomes of that experiment. When we toss coin 1st time, we can get H or T. If it is T, it's done, so one outcome is {T} If it is H, a die will be rolled and it's outcome could be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6. If it is odd (1, 3 or 6), it's done. So here outcomes are {H1, H3, H5} If it is even (2, 4 or 6), die is rolled again and it's outcome could be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6. So here outcomes are {H21, H22, H23, H24, H25, H26, H41, H24, H43, H44, H2\45, H46, H61, H62, H63, H64, H65, H66}. if intercepts are a and b on X and Y axis respectively, then equation will be x/a + y/b = 1 (x and y intercept form) a + b = 1 a*b = -6 By solving above two equations, you get a = -2 and b = 3 So equation of line is: x/a + y/b = 1 x/(-2) + y/3 = 1 -3x + 2y = 6 3x -2y + 6 = 0 There will be one more line if we consider a = 3 and b = -2. So based on given details, there will be two lines.

Assuming you understand the basics of probability, Here sample space is 1, 2, 3, 4, ..., 99, 100 i.e. S = {1, 2, 3, 4, ..., 99, 100} so n(S) = 100 Here Event is set of numbers divisible by 2 and 3 (or we can say divisible by 6) And Event E = {6, 12, 18, 24, ...., 90, 96} i.e. n(E) = 16 So probability of this event will be P(E) = n(E)/n(S) = 16/100 = 4/25 (or 0.16)
