I teach Cybersecurity with a focus on offensive security, blue teaming (SOC operations), and ethical hacking. With over a decade of experience in the domain, I’ve worked extensively on both the red team and blue team sides of cybersecurity. My teaching approach is built on practical, hands-on training that prepares learners for real-world challenges in the cybersecurity landscape.
Though I haven’t yet taught students via UrbanPro, I’ve been mentoring and training professionals and aspiring cybersecurity enthusiasts for many years through various other platforms and private sessions. I believe that in a rapidly evolving domain like cybersecurity, traditional textbook learning doesn’t suffice. My sessions are designed to replicate real attack and defense scenarios so learners understand what it feels like to operate in a live environment.
I conduct all my classes online using Microsoft Teams, offering flexibility and accessibility to learners from various locations. Before each batch starts, I assess the common skill set of the group and then design a custom learning path based on their capabilities and goals. Whether students are beginners or professionals looking to upgrade their skill sets, the curriculum is structured to challenge them while keeping learning outcomes realistic and attainable.
The core of my teaching philosophy is built around hands-on training. We start by diving into labs and real-time examples first—focusing on tools, live cases, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors—before gradually progressing to the troubleshooting and incident response phases. This mimics the flow of actual cybersecurity operations and gives learners practical insights into what’s expected in the field.
In every batch, we integrate recent threat landscapes and real-time case studies into our discussions. This ensures students stay updated with the latest trends, attack methods, and defense mechanisms. I also encourage critical thinking and team-based problem solving—two essential skills in today’s cybersecurity roles.
While I provide structured notes and learning materials, I actively encourage learners to create their own documentation and learning logs. This habit not only reinforces learning but also helps build the analytical mindset needed for cybersecurity roles. The goal is not just certification or knowledge acquisition, but skill mastery.
