Easier or harder is depends upon who wants fo learn that language, if a south indian mainly Tamil people then Malyalam will be easy for them because both tamil and Malayalam are similar..

But when French is also easy to learn, don't compare it with regional Languages.. 

Sanskrit is the based for all Languages..

But when French is also easy to learn, don't compare it with regional Languages..
