Avinash K.

I am a teacher with a strong academic background and hands-on experience in the field of Food and Nutrition. I hold a Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition from Punjabi University, and I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Health Sciences from Chitkara University, Punjab. I also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics and earned my Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Food Science and Microbiology from Guru Nanak Dev University.

I began my teaching career as a Lecturer at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, where I worked for 10 months. Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor at an University, where I also serve as the IIC Coordinator and Activity Coordinator. My teaching approach combines academic knowledge with practical application, especially in the areas of dietetics and clinical nutrition.

Before entering academics, I worked as a Dietitian at IVY Hospital, Hoshiarpur, for 1 year and 5 months. During this time, I gained experience working in various hospital departments including ICU, CCU, SICU, pediatric, and general wards. I also completed clinical training at both IVY Hospital and Shivam Hospital in Hoshiarpur.

My professional skills include providing diet consultation for health conditions such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cardiac and renal issues, PCOS, pregnancy nutrition, gluten intolerance, and hypothyroidism. I am also proficient in tools like DietCal and have hands-on experience with laboratory equipment relevant to food and nutrition sciences.
