Teaching hindi for last 20 years.

Unlike Sanskrit Hindi is a popular and common language in India.Hindi would be more suitable and preferable as we all are well conservant with it in comparison of Sanskrit.

National language of india is hindi, hence I advice you to take hindi rather than sanskrit as it is used everywhere. I prefer you to take hindi.
