It serves as the official language of India and is spoken by millions of people as their native language. Hindi continues to thrive in various domains such as education, media, literature, and everyday communication. Sanskrit, on the other hand, is considered a classical language and is not as widely spoken in everyday contexts. While Sanskrit is not as commonly used for day-to-day communication, it still holds significance in religious, academic, and cultural spheres. Both Hindi and Sanskrit have unique roles and contributions to Indian languages and culture, with Hindi being a vibrant living language and Sanskrit maintaining its classical status. It would appear so if you look at the surface. On the surface, everything is going English way in India not just Hindi all Indian Languages appear endangered. but no, if you know the struggle of Hindi, You would say that Hindi is far better positioned today than it was in 1850, about 170 years ago

Definitely , the number of people speaking hindi has decreased but it will not vanish . Government and schools are working towards this issue and fortunately we see the progress. In many school hindi has been made compulsory till 10th which will bring the positive result in this regard.
