While there are similarities between Nepali and Hindi, they are distinct languages with differences in pronunciation, vocabulary, and some grammatical structures. Nepali has been influenced by Tibeto-Burman languages due to its geographical proximity to the Himalayan region, which sets it apart from Hindi.

Overall, Nepali and Hindi share some linguistic commonalities but are separate languages with their unique characteristics.
