How to write a good composition in the board exam?

When you appear for the board exam, you need to understand that writing skills are checked thoroughly. 

The first important thing for a student is that does not get panic about their writing skills. As well as do not get panic about the Board exam. Just relax and study.

Let's see what you should do to improve your composition skills.

  1. Grammar: It is required. So learn it keenly. Parts of Speech - if you understand it carefully and correctly, it will help you in your exam.
  2. Vocabulary: This is also an important part of the writing skills in composition writing. You have to write a composition for the board exam; it does not mean that you have to use heavy words. It is not necessary. Use simple words and complete your composition.
  3. Length: Do not cross the word limit as well as do not reduce the word limit. Stick to the word limit given by the board in the exam.
  4. Sentence Construction: This is also an essential part of composition writing. Do not write long sentences or altogether 5-6 sentences. Use small sentence construction with suitable vocabulary.
  5. Paragraph: Use paragraph. Do not avoid it. 
  6. Understand the topic: Understand the case you have selected to write. Think about the topic for few minutes and start writing.
  7. Do not change the topic: Once you have selected the topic, do not change it else, you will be running out of time.
  8. Handwriting: This is also an essential part of writing skills. Improve your handwriting as the teacher should understand your handwriting.
  9. Before you start writing your composition, recall most of the points.
  10. Reading: read as much you can- novels, newspapers etc., as you do not know which topic will be given in the board exam. Your reading knowledge will help you in the composition writing, whatever topic will come in the exam.
