Upakar book is good for upsc and newspaper do practice daily

As UPSC is concerned very few take hindi as there optional, if you want to take hindi as your optional subject then you can refer NCERT class 11, Hindi sahitya ka ithihas and newspaper.

Last 5 year papers should be thoroughly prepared for Compulsory language papers. Many a times grammar questions repeat. One could read Hindi newspapers before the day of exam. One could also practice writing in hindi before the day of exam to ensure legible handwriting in the exam and also to complete paper on time. The same goes for English if one has opted Hindi as medium of answer writing. Essay needs to be given due importance as it is of high marks ion compulsory language papers. One must try to attempt full paper and must try not to leave any question unattempted. Hope this helps read less
