MapReduce is mostly used for processing huge volume of Data that can not be fit into memory and concisely it is batch processing. Spark on the other hand is all-rounder which can help with real time data processing,Machine learning and batch processing etc.

When it comes to security, MapReduce is more advanced. Hadoop is more secure because it uses Kerberos and supports Access Control Lists (ACLs), providing a traditional file permission model. Spark's security features are turned off by default, making it vulnerable to attacks.

Big Data is cake for data processing whereas Angular is for UI framework. I would recommend you to consider learning Big Data technologies.
