Answer Let me be honest. You can become a Hadoop admin if you are already a Linux admin or System Admin. Its a highly specialized job and requires much more that just the Hadoop part. You must know many apsects of Server administration, Data center logistics and Virtulization to become a successful admin.
Lot of institutes offer Hadoop admin courses most of it is a farce.
Also, consider the fact that there are very few admins required as compared to Hadoop developers.
