I have been teaching French at different hotel management institutes, at Assam Down Town University and have also done some private tuition in French.
I personally, like languages and try to encourage students to understand rather memorise blindly.
I follow a methodology of Active Learning on the part of the students. Here, a student is given some basic concepts and is then encouraged to make sentences and solve questions by themselves.
They are encouraged to learn by doing things on their own, even while making mistakes, as it is my belief that we learn more from our mistakes than if a teacher simply gives us the correct answer which is in turn memorised by students.
I have an M.A. in English Literature, P.G. Diploma in French and Goethe A-Levels in German
