I have around 3 years of industry experience and have taken up a lot of challenging roles including internal training sessions to group sizes of over 30 people. Lets look at the present scenario of big data and then see what future holds. Now you have social media, news websites, video streams (YouTube etc), movie/channel streams (Netflix, Amazon Prime), thousands of blogs, huge organizational data, medical records and the list is endless. Most of these data sources were non existent a few years ago. And still there is a huge challenge in deriving knowledge out of this data and is yet to be completely solved. Now in addition to this there are further more data-sources getting added with IOT, autonomous cars, and in almost every field data is becoming more crucial and since we have not yet overcome the already existent challenges while there are more lined up so you can imagine for yourself what the future could be in big data domain.

How much time it will take to learn socket programming in java?

Depends on the depth you want to go into, there can't be a defined answer for it. Just to get started with and and doing a small poc would just take 2-4 hours and time could grow exponentially as the requirements increase. So proper requirements would get you a more relevant answer.

What is the importance of German language for civil engineer?

Germans have the best books in dynamics. Even advanced FEM and other areas of research. If you want to have a good understanding of the subject, read from german books (translated ofcourse).
