Harmonium or keyboard is a lovely instrument. I learned the advanced skills from Ustad Munshi Khan Sahab. I was famous in my school because I was the only one who knew how to play the 'harmonium'. :) I would be seen playing my harmonium when I was not doing anything else. Hi Priya,
Learning a new/non-native language and gaining expertise in it needs the following three things:
1) You need a skilled trainer
2) The right environment for practice (this is a must)
3) Determination to finish it off
Always keep this in mind - it's just another language and there is no need to raise a lanauge to heaven! How did you learn your mother tongue? Nobody taught you its grammar and sentence structure, right? It was the very ambience at home that gave you access to new vocab and fluency over time. It works exactly the same way with any other language in the world. Just take off with whatever fluency you've got - don't think much abou it. Communicate in English with peers/friends as much as you can. For the technical aspects of it, do find a metor nearby or online.
