Hi, I’m Prajna P Behera, and I specialize in teaching Mathematics to Class 10 students. I’ve been teaching for the past 10 years, and over time, I’ve discovered that this profession brings me immense joy and fulfillment. Although I started my career in a different field, I eventually decided to leave my job and dedicate myself fully to teaching. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made — because helping students overcome their fear of math and build confidence is something I deeply care about.

I hold an engineering degree and have also completed my B.Ed., which laid a strong academic foundation for my teaching career. Beyond that, I’ve also pursued specialized training in special education. This additional training allows me to adapt my teaching strategies to meet the varied needs of students, including those who require more support or different learning approaches.

In terms of classroom experience, I have taught in two different schools over the last 7 years. I spent six years teaching at one school, where I was actively involved in lesson planning, assessments, and mentoring students. After that, I took up a one-year role at another institution, which gave me the opportunity to refine my teaching style and adapt to new environments. Both experiences helped me become a more empathetic, student-focused educator.

My classes are structured yet flexible. I always prepare detailed lesson plans to ensure that the syllabus is covered thoroughly and systematically. But more importantly, I keep my sessions interactive. I believe that learning happens best when students are engaged — asking questions, participating in problem-solving, and working through doubts in a supportive environment.

For my online classes, I make use of visual tools like PowerPoint presentations and a digital whiteboard to make the content more engaging and easier to understand. Math can sometimes feel abstract, so I try to bring it to life with visual aids and real-life examples wherever possible.

I also provide students with clear and concise notes, which help them revise key concepts and formulas. These notes are curated carefully based on the curriculum and my years of classroom experience, making them a valuable revision resource before exams.

I understand that every student learns differently, and my goal is to help each one find their own way to succeed in Mathematics. Whether a student needs extra help with basics or is looking to master advanced concepts, I adapt my approach accordingly.

Teaching is not just a job for me — it’s a calling. I’m here to support, encourage, and guide my students to do their best, and I look forward to being a part of their academic journey.
