Acoustic Guitar. Children upto eight years can start with half-size guitar, 8-13 years can use 3/4 size guitar and above 13 should try to use full-size acoustic guitar. You can ask the shopkeeper to change the strings of acoustic guitar to steel strings which are used on electric guitars. I recommend this for beginners as it will make it easier to play the guitar and with less pain.
In the budget of 5k, you can get guitars like Exl, Spectrum, Kaps, Aria etc., try to test yourself which better fits your hand and choose a guitar with a low action (distance between guitar neck and strings). If you want to buy a brand that is much famous, you can go for a Yamaha F310 model which costs around 8-8.5k.
