Hi Mr Hari,
At such a young age, children can get distractedly quickly by their surroundings. I would suggest you allocate a specific area of study in your home, stick to a schedule with your child, and help make it a habit to spend that time focusing on his studies.
Also, do explore talking with him about what he would instead do. E.g., if he is interested in playing cricket, use cricket to teach counting runs!
