It's not easy... But if you practice and are consistent... You'll start playing the guitar by yourself in 6-12 months...

I think as a begginer one should go for songs in which basic chords are used these are ; Tum Hi, Mera Mann Kehne Lga, Saddi Gli, Pani Da Rang, Humsafar, Nazm Nazm, Nothing Else Matter and many more.
