It usually depends on what you're learning if you just want to master A minor you can do it in a week. So, it totally depends what are you focusing on.

Get a good trainer. Learn 3 hours per day from trainer. Practice atleast 2 hours per day. Get to know all concepts. Be in touch with whatever you have learnt in one week. You should be taught how to tune strings by trainer.

This depends on what you mean by learning to play. Learning can be a constant process that never ends as long as you continue to play if your goal is to always better yourself as a guitar player. However if learning for you is just picking up basic chords and playing songs with them then that is something that can be accomplished in a certain duration of time provided you practice regularly and don't give up. Getting a teacher who can guide you is a good thing to do. I would not put a limit of one week and instead just focus on getting as much practice as I can to get where I want to get. read less
