I have created for myself a distinct place in the realm of Tabla playing. Born gifted, i started learning Tabla at the age of four from ShriVinayWagle from Ujjain (M.P.) and gave my first performance at the tender age of five. I also learnt the intricacies of Tabla playing from Shri Suresh Tulankar of Nagpur and Pt. Kaleram ji of Jalandhar. Now for the past many years, I am learning from “Taal-Yogi” Padmashree Pt. Suresh Talwalkar.
I have given many soul-stirring performances as a soloist as well as accompanist with many established and veteran artists in India and abroad as well.
Apart from a holder of 'A' GRADE from All India Radio and an EMPANELLED artist of ICCR, I have the unique distinction of having performed at some of the prestigious music festivals such as Sawai Gandharva Festival, Tansen Sangeet Samaroha, Asian Drum Festival, Chaeng-Mai (Thailand), Francophonie Festival, UNESCO, Paris and many others.
Honors have come to me in the form of Pt. D.V. Paluskar Award, Pt. Nikhil Ghosh Memorial Award, Pt. Ramnarayan Jeena Puraskaar to name a few. Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India has also conferred a scholarship on me. I am also a part of many fusion programmes with renowned musicians and also participated in the projects of his Guru “Taal-Yogi” Padmashree Pt. Suresh Talwalkar.
I have been in the teaching field for last 15 years, successfully training Indian students as well as students from Canada, Austria, Thailand, Russia, France and U.S.A. Conducting not only personal classes but also online classes on WhatsApp, Facebook messenger, Skype, Zoom and other such platforms.
