Well, this will be my first time teaching. Although I did free counselling many a times especially for kids next door. I have therefore decided to endeavor it for a part time along with my work.

There are no short cuts to learning anything but I would definitely say determination and interest can help. Try to think in English. Studies have shown that learning a language can be more effective and efficient if you learn by experience.
For example: Words like friends, acquintances and strangers, try brainstorming about people in your own life. Who are the starngers, acquaintances and friends and why do you think they fit into a particular role/word. It will context to use it more efficiently and because you will be able to associate a memory you will remember it better.
