You must prepare for a year or 6 months.depending on your problem-solving ability, good logical & quantitative, you 'll make it.

I think 3-6 months of dedicated preparation is good enough for the GMAT. The longer you delay the exam, the more difficult it gets to retain and recall the concepts learnt for prep. Moreover, the keyword to cracking the exam (for all competitive exams) is practice, practice, practice. Quant, DI and Critical Reasoning sections must be prepared well to get the confidence to score well. It took me around four months of prep, and I got a score of 720 on the GMAT. If I am comfortable with CAT Quant, do I need to put in any effort for GMAT quant? Also, if yes, is there any specific book for GMAT Quant..more than book...what I am looking for is some specific practice for GMAT quant, if it is any different from CAT Quant.
Although some of the topics are similar but GMAT test techniques and questions patterns are different from CAT
