Synthesized ligand and its complex were fully characterized employing UVVis, FTIR, NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, X-ray crystallography, and
electrochemical study using cyclic voltammetry.
Hirshfeld surface calculations were also carried out using the
crystallographic information for the study of inter-/intra molecular
interactions within the unit cell at the Hartree-Fock level.
In silico molecular interactions are also studied to explore the biomedical
application of the ligand and metal complex against SARS-CoV-2 (PDB ID:
1IVO) spike protein to discover a potential drug candidate for covid-19
