I explain these concepts in a very simple manner, so that they get easier for the naive user to understand. I explain the complete method first, once its clear and student does the practice, then discloses its short cut, if any is available. I have explained these concepts to many students like MCA aspirants and SSC aspirants.

"Which is the best chapter to start with in quantitative aptitude for MBA entrance exams?" in   Exam Coaching/Quantitative Aptitude

Hello Rama Every chapter is best to start with in quantitative aptitude for MBA entrance exams. If you have "Maths Fear" then it could be difficult to start with. In this case, you need to have a good tutor, who not only encourages you but also teaches you the simple ways to understand Maths. If you start understanding the concept and do of practice then no one can stop you clearing the exam. For your reference you can start with: 1. Average 2. Ratio & Proportion 3. Pipes and Cisterns 4. Trains etc. Thanks Megha

"Which one is the best book for quantitative aptitude?" in   Exam Coaching/Quantitative Aptitude

Hello Hardik For preparing for Quantitative aptitude, you can refer any good book available, especially R.S.Aggarwal. This book is available in both English and Hindi. This book forms the base for any competitive exam that contains quantitative aptitude section. But I would recommend you to take proper coaching either at a physical institute or online through a good tutor, as it will help you to know the short tricks of the questions as well as time based test series and assignments will help you in increasing speed. We can definitely study from any book, but what we need to focus on is speed and accuracy in answering the questions. All the Best!! Megha

"I work everyday 8-9hours in my dad's office. However, I wish to be a bank PO and I am looking forward to prepare myself for the same. I'm great at engineering and conversations but Maths I need to practice, I have quite fair knowledge in general knowledge too. How long would I need to prepare myself to clear the exam with good scores? Should I join a class for the same?" in   Exam Coaching/Bank Clerical Exam Coaching

Hello Piyush, Yes you can practice Mathematics at home. You can refer R.S.Aggarwal Quantitative aptitude book for the same. Before I could comment on how many hours you should study or how to proceed further, I would like to know till which class have you studied Mathematics? Which Board are you from? If you are from English Medium and CBSE background then things are easy for you. What all comes in Quantitative Aptitude is Mathematics till Class X. 1. You can pick up any topic of your interest in Mathematics and starts studying. We need not to focus on long methods that we were used to, during our standards. We now need to focus on short cut methods and easiest way to solve the problems. 2. If you are a genuine learner then you need to spend 3 hours daily for next 6 months. It?s all depends on your interest and grasping power. Some topics are easy to understand so you will pick them very fast while some might take time. Once you have understood the concept then practice as many questions as possible. You can refer internet for more questions. Try to give as many mock test as possible. 3. Once you have gained confidence in solving problems, Set a Timer, of about 1hour and then do the practice, which will really help to increase your speed. Initially you should focus on understanding concepts, solving problems, and then within a time limit how many questions you have solved. 4. Must get resolved your queries. 5. A coaching class can help you to get in routine and there you can focus all the subjects in one go. If you studying at home, then it?s very important to set up a time table that how much time you are going to devote on one subject. Since you are working, you need to be very strict with the time table that you will prepare for yourself.
