MTI stands for Mother Tounge Influence. It is generally seen in no native speakers of the language. MTI is an effect of your speaking conditioning in your native language that affects your speech in any different language.
In India, we experience the effect of MTI when we speak in English.
The most practical way of overcoming the MTI which I implemented in my life was that I used to watch a lot of Hollywood movies and listen to a lot of English Music. Do this even if you don't understand what is being said or sung. Do this for at least 3 to 4 months every day.
Once this is achieved in 4 months, it needs to be followed up by a Reading Exercise from a good piece of literature in English or a good newspaper. Read the paper aloud so that you hear yourself and compare to the condition learning of the last four months.
Simultaneously you should be speaking in English wherever it is feasible. make your self Immune to a disease of "What others will think"
