Certified German Language with 7+ years of experience

No. The foundation or basic course A1 is meant to enable the learner to understand rudimentary questions. It would need the speaker to speak slowly and clearly. You would need at least a A2 to be able to converse freely in the German language. Written skills need a lot more knowledge.

If you just want to have working knowledge of German than foundation course is sufficient. So it depends on you which level of language proficiency you are looking for.
