Is Google Translate a good translator for English to German? If so, what other sites can I use to translate sentences and words from English to German?

well google translate is not much reliable source for translating sentence but you can use it for translating words but I personally recommend you dict.cc. You can even find an app for it as well. Dict.cc is much reliable.

google translate is good. but any online application for translation of sentences will not do justice to the context and grammar involved in the sentence. translation of words is okay but sentences is tricky.

German Language Teacher

Translate it yourself. No machine translation is as accurate as human. Use dictionary for different word meanings and with its help do it with your own sense of language.
