As per my experience classroom training is more successful and effective where teacher teaches face to face with some activities, where you have direct interaction with other co-learners. Online learning is also good if you are working and can not spend continuous hours on daily or weekly basis to visit an institute. read less

To improve speaking ability (through individual classes) depends on your teacher only
Without hesitation, you should just start speaking. Another very good way of getting over the fear of speaking is to sing. Learn German songs. Sing them loud...sing along. This will help you to overcome the speaking hesitations.
