"Being fourteen, I'm currently Sir's youngest student. Becoming his student is a really great thing for me as he usually doesn't teach beginners. Having met his inspiring self for the first time on fifth of November 2016; I immediately knew that I was seeking guidance from an exceptionally talented and a very straightforward guru. I'm very fortunate to have a teacher who sets the bars high and yet makes you believe that you can reach it. When I started learning the Sitar from Sir ; I would never have imagined learning to play the things I play today - in just a span of five months. Being a schoolgirl, I find it different when a teacher breaks the convention of saying ' you're too young to learn this' or 'this comes in your next year's syllabus'. But Sir never sets an age limit. If you are capable of learning; there is no limit to what you can learn from him. "

"I joined respected Sir a few months ago as a novice, having no prior knowledge of music. He took me under guidance and helped me understand the very basics of Indian classical music. He not only helped me with buying a good quality instrument, he even spent many hours over multiple days in the shop to get it properly tuned. While teaching, he understands my requirements and employs various techniques to overcome my shortcomings. He has various techniques under his command to bring out the proficiency and to make one feel comfortable with this relatively difficult instrument Sitar. He not only teaches me the strokes that should be applied for a particular note or set of notes, but also explains the usefulness of that way of playing in the bigger frame of picture.
