I teach Kathak dance to students of all age groups and skill levels and have been teaching professionally since 2000. With more than two decades of experience in Kathak, I have dedicated my life to preserving, performing, and teaching this beautiful classical dance form. My goal is to help students not only learn the technical aspects of Kathak but also understand its grace, discipline, rhythm, and cultural richness. I hold an MA in Kathak with a Gold Medal from Rabindra Bharati University. My academic training, combined with years of professional performance and teaching experience, has given me a deep understanding of Kathak as both an art form and a discipline. I focus on passing this knowledge to my students through structured and meaningful training. I am honoured to be a recipient of the prestigious Sangeet Ratna Award, which recognizes my contribution and dedication to Kathak. Over the years, I have participated in several national and international performances and have received appreciation and accolades for my work as a performer and teacher. These experiences have enriched my artistic journey and strengthened my passion for sharing Kathak with students from different backgrounds and age groups. As a nationally and internationally recognized Kathak performer and teacher, I have trained students ranging from beginners to advanced learners. I believe that every student has unique potential, and my role as a teacher is to guide them patiently while helping them build confidence, discipline, expression, and stage presence through dance. I strive to create an encouraging and motivating environment where students can learn comfortably and grow artistically. My teaching methodology is based on structured lesson plans and interactive learning sessions. I focus on step-by-step training that balances both theory and practical learning. Students are guided through basic footwork, hand movements, rhythm, expressions, body coordination, and performance techniques in a systematic manner so that they develop strong fundamentals in Kathak. I design my classes to be disciplined, engaging, and student-friendly. Along with technical training, I also focus on helping students understand the cultural and emotional aspects of Kathak. Regular practice, rhythm training, expression work, and performance preparation are important parts of my sessions, helping students improve steadily while enjoying the learning process. I offer both online and offline classes, giving students flexibility and convenience in learning Kathak according to their schedule and comfort. Teaching Kathak has been a deeply fulfilling journey for me, and I remain committed to inspiring students through this classical art form. My aim is to help learners develop not only dance skills but also confidence, discipline, creativity, and appreciation for Indian classical culture.
