Why do flutes have so many holes?

Music is a combination of sound in different frequencies. To produce different frequencies we need different holes just like strings in Violin, Guitar, etc.

It depends upon your dedication and the time you spend for the riyaz. But then definitely it will take months time to learn, practice and become a professional. You can achieve this quick based on the practice.
