A bass flute (bansuri) is larger, has a deeper sound, and plays lower notes compared to a normal flute, which is smaller and higher-pitched.

Tuning: Indian music uses a "just intonation" tuning method, while Western music uses an equal temperament style. Material: A bansuri is traditionally made from bamboo.
