How is the note played on the piano different from the same on flute?

Professional Hindustani Singer , Flutist and Guitar teacher.

Both are different instruments and so the quality of their sound is different. There pitches might sound similar to a beginner but when you get the knowledge of music you can differentiate the different wavelength of sound.
