The college is associated with one of the most elite educational institutes of India, and that might be the reason I didn't have to face “those” kind of problems as the Anon user has mentioned above, though I can totally understand her point of view, and the problems she faced. I've faced that kind of harrowing experience somewhere else, but that is not relevant to the answer here. So moving forward, this was my first experience as a lecturer in a college. I've taught before but not at graduate level, so this was something fresh and new for me, and I was really apprehensive before taking up this job. I took it anyway and didn't regret it at all.
