IdentityI have been teaching Mathematics and Applied Mathematics to students from Class 6 to 12 for almost 25 years now. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep passion for making mathematics approachable, engaging, and meaningful for every student I work with. My academic journey began with an M.Phil. in Mathematics, and my professional journey has taken me through some of the most reputed schools in the country.
For the past 16 years, I have been teaching at Manav Rachna International School, where I currently serve as the Head of the Mathematics Department. Prior to this, I had the opportunity to teach at Delhi Public School (DPS), which helped me build a solid foundation in academic excellence and curriculum planning. These diverse experiences have shaped my ability to understand the varying academic needs of students and adjust my teaching style accordingly.
What sets my teaching approach apart is my commitment to concept-based learning. I strongly believe that Mathematics is not just about numbers and formulas but about understanding logic and developing problem-solving skills. I design every lesson with a clear structure and a strong focus on real-life applications, play-way methods, and interactive activities that help students connect with the subject and build confidence.
Apart from classroom teaching, I have contributed extensively to content development for Mathematics textbooks for Classes 6 to 8. My school has its own set of in-house textbooks, and I’ve been closely involved in drafting and editing content to align with both academic goals and student needs. This experience has enhanced my ability to break down complex topics into simpler, relatable concepts.
I feel humbled and proud to have been recognized for my dedication. One of the most memorable moments in my teaching career was receiving appreciation from Ms. Smriti Irani, former HRD Minister, for delivering exceptional board results. I have also received an Appreciation Award from my school management, which reaffirmed my commitment to academic excellence and leadership.
I conduct both online and offline sessions based on the student’s preference. In every mode, I ensure my students receive a personalized learning experience. I use a combination of PPTs, whiteboard teaching, hands-on activities, and frequent assessments. I also provide notes and worksheets to support the classroom experience and ensure students have ample material for revision and practice.
