NCERT is quite good for any entrance exam even for JEE- Advanced, some people prefer NCERT.

As a current student at IIT Delhi, having secured All India Rank 748 in JEE 2013, I can confidently tell you that no coaching is required in classes 9 and 10. Dedicated preparation from class 11 will suffice to get a rank within 500.

Apart from your daily study routine, you have to spend at least 2 to 3hours to clear only basic concepts of any subject.
